APP is pleased to announce the successful completion and delivery of the Poyning’s project, an outdoor residential refurbishment featuring a swimming pool, spa, and Aqua Deck Cover.
We spoke with Project Manager Richard regarding this project, he shared his insights. When discussing the project’s achievements, Richard was pleased with his approach in swiftly adapting to evolving scopes. Initially planned as a refurbishment, the project seamlessly transitioned to proposing a new concrete shell following an inspection survey. Despite the project’s accelerated pace, progress was efficiently maintained.
Richard expressed contentment with his project management approach, underscoring the significance of upholding a professional contractual demeanour.
Effectively managing interpersonal relationships, he ensured that project advancements were not hindered by impractical demands or compromises on safety. Furthermore, the installation of the Aqua Deck Cover was notably successful and executed without complications.
Areas for Improvement:
Rapid progress can sometimes lead to oversight of essential elements. While most issues were identified and rectified promptly, the project’s handover was satisfactory but not flawless.
Key Insights:
Maintaining unwavering standards of quality and safety, regardless of external pressures for speed, is paramount.
